注解：
第三句Women love to shop and they love to talk.是一句玩笑话。更夸张一点，我们可以说：Women are never happier than when then are exchanging views with their friends.
女人们在与友人闲聊时再开心不过了。
第四句They talk and talk and talk and have a great time doing it.中，talk一词重复了三次，含有调侃的口气。下面一句更是对女人的这种习惯的调侃：
Women talk endlessly and in so doing,have a great time.

同是这个句意，若换用下面一种表达法，含义便转向了中性：

Two ladies are chatting in a supermarket.The thinner one is stylishly dressed and looks to be about twenty years of age.The other lady is more buxom and is probably older.She is also well dressed.The two women seem to be discussing something of interest to both of them.They have the appearance of being good friends,or perhaps relatives.They do not appear to have bought anything yet,since the shopping cart is empty and they are not carrying anything in their bags.Perhaps they have met as they entered the supermarket and have been delayed from their shopping by their conversation.Certainly there are plenty of goods on the shelves around them to pick from.These women,however,know that they can always shop later but a good conversation should be had when the opportunity arises.

It is possible to wander around a supermarket,looking at the variety of goods on display,without necessarily buying anything right away.As a person enters a supermarket,they can take either a basket or a shopping cart,depending on how much they think they might buy.Here,we see two women talking.Although it doesn' t look like they have started shopping yet,they probably will after their conversation ends.One woman has a shopping cart with her so she might have many things she wants to buy.The other woman doesn' t have a basket or a cart so she might just be picking one or two things up.Both of their shopping trips,however,have been postponed until they finish their discussion.
