在英语句型中，逗号起着很重要的作用，如果能够正确分析逗号在句中所起的作用，就能够正确分析句子结构，帮你解题。
1.逗号前或后面的句子有连词引导，构成两个句子。例如：
There's a talk on cancer that might be quite interesting,so Perhaps I'll go to that.
（连词so引导前后两个分句，句意为：有一个关于癌症的报告可能会很有兴趣，所以我可能会去听那个报告。）
When she was young,she became interested in phvsics and read as many books as she could on the subject.
（她年轻的时候就对物理感兴趣，并尽可能多地阅读了有关物理学方面的书籍。when引导时间状语从句）
2.逗号前或后是一个非限制性定语从句。例如：
He did very well and sailed with the navy to Canada,where the way with the French was also being fought.
（他做得很好，并与海军到了加拿大，在那里英法之间的战争正在进行着。where引导非限制性定语从句）
As we all know,the earth moves around the sun.
（正如我们所知，地球是围绕太阳运转的。As引导非限制性定语句，位于主句之前。）
3.逗号前或后是分词作状语，后面是句子。例如：
Walking down the street,they saw the same man again.
（walk动作是句子主语they发出的，所以用现在分词作状语。）
Given more time,we could do it much better.
（Given动作与句子主语是动宾关系，所以和过去分同作状语。）
4.逗号后面是前面成分的同位语。如：
He was a strict but good captain,one who,usually，took good care of the sailors on his ship.
（逗号后面的one是逗号前面captain的同位语。）
In 1895 she mayried Pierre Curie,a very bright scientist who was teaching at the school of physics and Industrial chemistrv at Paris.
（逗号后面的a very bright scientist是前面 Pierre Curier同位语。）
5.逗号隔开的是插入语。例如：
Madam Curie,I think,is a great scientist.
（I think在句子中作插入语，前后有逗号与句子隔开。）
It was my first earth quake,you see,and I didn't know what was happening.
（you see在句中作插入语，前后有逗号与句子隔开。）
I say,Let's go out of a drive next Sunday.（I say在句子中作插入语。）
6.副词或介词短语等作状语提前，用逗号与句子其他成分隔开。例如：
However,no single country can save the environmeat alone（副词however作状语）
Recently,China has inade special laws to deal with waste pollution.
（副词recently作状语）
In China,rubbish is becoming a serious problem.
（介词短语in China在句子中作状语）
