1.Adverbs which fell you how often something happens.以下是一些表示事情发生 频率的词:
Never,always,sometimes,usually,seldom,often,frequently,constanfiy,
consistently.These normally come immediately before the verb they modify.
Some of them can be placed at the beginning or the end of the sentence or
clause.
You never call to see us! [Don't say:You call to see us never.]
He always causes trouble.He causes trouble always.[acceptable but unusual]
He sometimes comes home late.He comes home late sometimes.[acceptable]
We usually go out on Sunday.We go out on Sunday usually.[acceptable]
We seldom eat in.We eat in seldom.[acceptable but unusual]
She often feels homesick.She feels homesick often.[acceptable]
I frequently make mistakes.I make mistakes frequently.[acceptable]
You're constantly interrupting! You're interrupting constantly![acceptable]

2.You can use the form,“On the one hand you have X,and on the other,you
have Y.”
“On the other hand”is used on its own,ie,not as a follow up to“On the
one hand.”
These three are all correct:
On the one hand,it would make them rich,but on the other,it would harm the environment.
On the one hand,it would make them rich.On the other,it would harm the
environment.
It would make them rich.On the other hand,it would harm the environment.
Don't say:On the one hand,it would make them rich,but on the other hand,it would harm the environment.

3.Not only...but also...
In this form,the “also”comes between the subject and the verb.not at the beginning of the clause.
Eg,Not only does he run fast.he also swims fast.
Don't say:Not only does he run fast,but also he swims fast.
But note two exceptions:
(1)The‘also’comes after,not before,the verb “to be”.
Eg,Not only is he handsome,he is also reliable.
(2)Where a modal verb is used.the“also”comes immediately after the modal verb and before the main verb.
Eg,You should also go:we will also travel to Canada.

4.Adverbs which tell you how something was done.
These normally come after the verb or verbal phrase
Eg,He ran well;he drove the car fast:
Don't say:he well ran,or he fast drove the car.
But there are many exceptions—eg,we checked through the lists
conscientiously;we conscientiously checked through the lists;we checked cons cientiously through the lists—all three are acceptable.
He looks sentimentally at his old photographs;he looks at his old
photographs sentimentally.Both are acceptable,but you can't say,“he
sentimentally looks at his old photographs.”
