This old woman is trying to teach the boy a valuable lesson.The boy has been very careless with the rice and has dropped the grains all over the ground.The old woman is explaining to him:"These little seeds might not look like a big deal.They may even seem inexpensive and,you may not think that they are very valuable.But there is much labor involved in planting and harvesting that rice.The farmers have worked very hard to produce that rice for you.If they took those seeds that you have spilled and planted them,they would produce a large harvest that could feed many people.So when you waste those seeds,you're not just wasting the rice,you are in fact wasting the labor of many people and,the food that could feed many people."
Sample 2
In this picture,we can see a grandmother teaching an important lesson to the child who has spilled rice all over the ground.The child doesn't understand the value of the rice and is careless with it.He probably didn't think at all about the consequences of spilling the rice on the ground.His grandmother,however,understands the labor and efforts that went into harvesting the rice.She is explaining that the farmers worked very hard to produce the rice that her grandson has carelessly spilled on the floor.She wants her grandson to understand that when he wastes the rice,he wastes the labor of the people who produced the rice as well as the money that was spent to buy the rice.Learning the value of grain is an important lesson.
