(1)warm up.T:Listen to the music and sing a song.Ss sing the song.

(2)Lead in.T:Who can tell me what festival is the song about?(展示“festival”单词,解释,学生跟读)Ss:the Christmas Day.T:Great! Who can tell me is it the Chinese festival or the western festival?Ss:The western festival.T:You’re right.Today,we’re going to learn some western festival cultures.Before our new class.please tell me what’s your favourite western festivals ? (展示PPT)

Ss:My favourite western festival is….

二、Learn the new lesson

T:Different people has different favourite festival.Today,We’ll have a new lesson.Module4,Unit1,Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.

1.First of all,let’s watch the video for the first time,please answer the following question:What festival do they talk about?T plays the video,Ss listen it carefully and answer the question:They talk about the Flag Day and Thanksgiving Day.

2.T shows the picture about Flag Day.“What festival is it?”“What date is the Flag Day every year?”

Ss:It’s the Flag Day.It’s on the 14th in June every year.

T shows the picture of the Thanksgiving Day and asks:What festival is it? What date is the Thanksgiving Day? Ss:It’s the Thanksgiving Day.It’s on the fourth Thursday in November.

3.T:All right.Now let’s listen again and answer the questions:What do they do on Flag Day/Thanksgiving Day?”T plays the vedio,Ss listen and answer the questions (T展示PPT,Ss看图回答)。

4.T:Here‘re some difficult questions for you.Please try to answer the following questions.

三、Culture learning

T:Before our class,two Ss do a survey about the Thanksgiving Day.Now,let’s welcome them to share their information of the survey.

S1:感恩节由来、日期、食物。

S2:感恩节的节日习俗。

四、Extension:writing

Today we’re learning some knowledge of Thanksgiving Day.Can you tell me more about western festivals?

Sssay the festivals.T says:There are lots of western festivals.My favourite festival is the Christmas Day.

T shows some pictures about Christmas Day ( father Christmas、Christmas tree、present) and says:Can you write a short passage about the Christmas Day?

Ss write it for 5 minutes then T asks two Ss to do the presentation.

五、Emotion education

T:Today we learned many cultures and customs about the Thanksgiving Day.I hope on that day,we can say Thanks to my family/my teachers/my friends/everyone/everything.
