汉语中“看”是一个常用词，翻译成英语也是多种多样的，主要分为两大类。第一类是狭义的看，通过“眼睛”直接看。主要有look,see,watch,call on,visit,read等。如：
look at the blackboard看黑板
(go to) see a doctor/film/movie看病／电影／电影
watch television/a game看电视／比赛
call on/visit someone看望某人
第二类是广义的看，指“判断、分析、注意、发现”等。如：
1)take notice of留心到，注意到

2)catch sight of偶然发现，突然看见

Whether we'll go on an outing tomorrow will depend on the weather.明天我们是否要效游，得看天气。
5)think,consider,view,observe,judge通过观察并加以判断。

6)mind,mind out,watch out提醒对方可能发生不好的情况。
